This notice covers what Front Store records when you browse a creator's storefront and fill a bag. The company that operates Front Store, and how to reach it, is in the Imprint.
What Front Store never receives
You pay the brand on the brand's own Shopify checkout. Your name, delivery address, email address, phone number and card details go to the brand there, and the brand's own privacy policy covers them. Front Store does not ask Shopify for them, and removes them if Shopify sends them with an order. We never take or hold your money.
What Front Store records
Your bag
When you add something to your bag, we save a random code in a cookie on your device and keep your bag under that code: the items, their prices and the storefront you added them from. The code says nothing about who you are. The bag is deleted 30 days after you last change it; the cookie itself lasts up to 400 days. Your browser also stores the number of items in your bag, so the bag icon can show it, and nothing else.
When you press “Pay on” a brand
We take you to that brand's checkout with your bag filled in, and keep a record of the hand-off: the items, the storefront and creator, the share link you came from if there was one, how you arrived (for example from an app's built-in browser), and the country and region your connection comes from (for example “GB, England”) as our network provider reports it. We do not keep your city, postcode or IP address. A random reference goes with the order so the creator is credited for it. If you do not pay, we remove your bag's code from that record after 30 days.
From the brand's order we read only the items, amounts, discounts, tax, refunds and whether it shipped, to pay the creator and bill the brand. Our part ends at the hand-off: delivery, returns and any questions about the order are for the brand.
Counts
We count storefront and product views, bag adds and hand-offs per day, and whether they came from a phone or a computer. These are totals with no code or other identifier attached.
Security
Your IP address is used briefly to limit repeated requests and keep the site secure. It is not stored with your bag or your hand-off. When something breaks, an error report with personal details removed is sent to our error-reporting service.
Others your browser talks to
Fonts load from Google Fonts and product pictures from the brand's Shopify store, so those services see your IP address as with any website. The brand receives everything you give its checkout.
Cookies
The bag cookie is necessary for the bag to work. The Cookies page lists every cookie we use. We use no advertising or analytics cookies.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Because we hold no name or contact details for shoppers, we can usually find your bag or hand-off only from the device that made it. Write to us using the details in the Imprint, or see who to contact. You may also complain to a data protection authority.
